Sourdough Discard Tortillas

If you’re a sourdough baker, you’ve probably thought about what you could make from sourdough discard after each feeding. These sourdough discard tortillas are incredibly easy to make. The sourdough discard adds a subtle, unique flavor to the tortillas, giving them a richer, more complex flavor compared to traditional tortillas. Whether you love tacos, burritos or quesadillas, their softness and slightly chewy texture make them perfect for any meal.

The process is simple and requires no special ingredients other than ordinary pantry ingredients – just sourdough discard, flour, oil and water. In addition, they cook quickly in a hot pan, so fresh homemade tortillas are on the table in less than an hour.

Making tortillas at home also allows you to use only fresh ingredients as a filling. Once you try these sourdough discard tortillas, chances are you’ll never want to make them any other way.
