Sourdough Discard Banana Bread
This banana bread is made from tangy sourdough discard and sweet ripe bananas, which make the bread moist and sweet. The tanginess of the sourdough nicely balances the natural sweetness brought by the bananas and adds tenderness to the bread at the same time.
This banana bread is perfect for breakfast, as a snack or even as a dessert, and goes well with coffee or tea. Adding warm spices like cinnamon is optional, but it enhances the flavor. Plus, it’s easy to make—only requires a few basic ingredients—and it’s ready in less than an hour, so it is also suitable for bakers who have not baked with sourdough before.
